There are several strands to Sue Glover's work. In the last year or so she has worked on projects for the government-sponsored Primary National Strategy and the Key Stage 3 National Strategy, including the central Frameworks for teaching mathematics, science and ICT capability. In 2003 she started editing materials for the Qatar Curriculum Standards Development Project. For Cambridge University Press she edits and/or proofreads school textbooks (and supporting materials) particularly in mathematics and the sciences. Pearson Education asked her in 2004 to work as development editor on a mathematics course. Her work with the Open University involves editing distance-learning postgraduate and access courses.

She has undertaken smaller projects along similar lines for other publishers (for example, Rigby, Gecko for Letts, Heinemann, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine), but these are not listed below.

Qatar Curriculum Development Project (2003–2005)

This major project, developed by the CfBT International Division for the Qatar government, involves editing and page layout in Word of draft documents for curriculum standards (from Kindergarten to Grade 12), a scheme of work, sample lessons and teacher training materials. Freelance editors Andrew Coleman and Penelope Lyons are working on the materials for science and English, while Sue concentrates on those for mathematics and Arabic (in English) and on general editorial trouble-shooting.

Cambridge University Press

Sue's main work with Cambridge University Press involves editing and proofreading school textbook series in mathematics and the sciences.

SMP AQA AS/A-level mathematics course
